The first lager of 2012
For my third lager, I am leaning towards brewing a Bavarian dunkel. After doing a bit of research I am leaning towards the ingredients listed below. This is a list that is bound to change as i do more reading in preparation for a January 20th brew session, but for now what you see below is what I am considering.
Malt = Pilsner, munich, a bit of vienna, cara80, a little bit of chocolate (for color) and flaked rye
Hops = hallertau
Yeast = Wyeast 2308 (Munich Lager)
Have any of you brewed a dunkel before? If so, what worked? What did not work?
